Services

Primary Care Services

Dr. Stewart provides basic primary care services for our patients.  These include illness and injury care, physical exams, management of chronic conditions, and diagnosis and treatment of many conditions.

Surgical Services

Dr. Stewart is skilled at office surgery, and does skin lesion removal, biopsy of suspicious lesions, and removal of subcutaneous tissues such as lipomas.   He can take care of ingrown toenails, remove skin tags, and treat warts and corns.

  • Due to the higher cost of malpractice insurance and the reduced demand for the service, he no longer perfroms vasectomies or breast biopsies.
  •

    Diabetes Care

  • Dr. Stewart offers a full range of treatment for patients with Type II Diabetes.  Type II Diabetes typically occurs in overweight adults, and does not require insulin treatment in the early stages.  However, many patients with this form of the disease will eventually require insulin in the later stages.  Dr. Stewart has participated in the Washington State Diabetes Collaborative, and has  been a NCQA Recognized Diabetes Physician.  We offer on-site testing of the important parameters of diabetes care, including Hemoglobin A1c, Glucose, Lipids, and Urine Microalbumin.
  •

Dr. Stewart will provide primary care for patients with Type I Diabetes, but he recommends that patients with this version of the disease should also be followed by an endocrinologist.

    Lipid Care

Dr. Stewart is a member of the National Lipid Association and has a longstanding interest in the treatment of patients with cholesterol and triglyceride conditions.  Besides trying to prevent heart attacks and strokes, he is particularly interested in helping patients who have already had heart problems or strokes maintain optimal levels for their lipids and blood pressure, to prevent additional cardiovascular events.
